So I just got back last week from Port Angeles, Washington where I spent 5 days in the woods w/ the cast and crew of Strange Days.(Strange Days they were!) This post is on a little more serious note. My wife has always been a very eco-aware person. It has rubbed off on me a bit over the past five years we have been together. Though this trip though it was a lot of fun really traumatized me. I was overcome by the beauty of the Olympic Forest and how dense the forest was. I've traveled to a lot of places but was not ready for the beauty of the Pacific Northwest!
Which leads me to the point of where I was traumatized. We were driving down a scenic route taking in all the trees and animals. Then we came across what looked like armegeddon! There was a company clear cutting all the trees and left devastation in it's tracks! I wasn't sure how to feel about it but I documented it the best I could to remember that situation... This spring I decided to plant a tree and become more aware of my surroundings while we still have them.
