So after the past few years I've had aspiring photographers e-mailing me asking if I offer any type of class. Well we finally have put down a date and I'm excited to have my first seminar with friend and local photographer Susan Jackson. Please see details in the brochure! I'm currently shooting a new show for A&E/Lifetime called "One born every minute." It takes place in a maternity ward documenting the drama of the last stage of the birthing process. I thought I went through that a few months ago. Clearly I saw nothing as this has been a pretty eye opening experience. The show is a take off the U.K. version which was a hit. I'm excited to see the results after editing. They have 40 cameras rigged throughout the ward taping 24 hours a day for 2 months. It's really strange to be in an environment that is constantly being taped.
Also, the guys over at A&E just sent me over the new promo for the Bob Saget show that is airing on Nov.30th. They used my shot taken on a highway somewhere between Nashville and Cartersville, GA. I was really excited to see my work on the promo and I think it turned out great considering we were going about 70mph! The first episode it going to be with the bikers where I took the photo. I also heard they are running it back to back with the episode we taped in Washington State w/ the bigfoot trackers. Should be an hour of brainless but funny t.v. if you get a moment. I'll be posting some bigfoot images as we get closer to the date!
I feel very fortunate to be let into people's world on one of the most important days of their lives. They trust me to do what I do best and record the day as I see it. Mary and Eddie let me do just that. Not only do they have style but they are great people. At the reception I heard the greatest best man speech I've ever heard and there wasn't a dry eye in the house. It just confirmed to me how cool they were and how honored I am to be part of their day. So a good friend of mine own's a jewelry line called Sepia. We are working on shooting her catalog for the new line that came in for her show in N.Y.

South Padre Island is one of my favorite places to visit. Mostly because it is where I met my wife. She grew up spending a lot of weekends at her family apartment so she has a lot of great memories there. It's exciting now that we are starting to make our own family memories. I hope my daughter will grow up having memories of the same place as her mom. Here are a few images of my wife, niece and nephew from this past year...
So I bought this vintage polaroid camera on ebay last week. There is a new company that produces this vintage style of polaroid film. (polaroid stop making it) So I took a snapshot of Sofia on the couch yesterday. It was too cold for her to go out so we dressed her up as a giraffe...well only the head gear as the body part and hoofs were a bit big. She didn't cry but I don't think she was all that thrilled with me dressing her up and laughing at her while we took pictures! This is my favorite one that actually exposed properly....
